A veterinarian was found dead inside his truck set on fire in an open field in the town of Tilisarao, San Luis, and due to the fact his son was delayed, who was found meters from the burning vehicle and aboard another vehicle, in which he was carrying a weapon, police sources reported this Wednesday.
The fact was discovered on Tuesday when members of section 23 and the Volunteer Firefighters went to a rural establishment located between San Pablo and Tilisarao, 140 kilometers from the San Luis capital, alerted by a fire.
At the entrance to the field that is near a water treatment plant, the troops found a truck on fire and, following putting out the fire, found a completely charred body inside, the sources detailed.
According to what was reported by Police Relations spokespersons, a few meters from the burned truck was parked a Renault Oroc pickup, driven by a 48-year-old man, who was delayed.
From the investigation it emerged that the man found dead in the truck was the veterinarian Eduardo Ashworth (70) and that the delayed person is his son Pablo, who told the authorities that he was not related to his father, that he did not even speak to him.
When requisitioning it, the troops found a firearm in the car and in its possession a charger with two 22-caliber cartridges, a lighter and money.
At the place of discovery, members of the Scientific Police Division worked, who carried out the corresponding tests, and the forensic doctor.
The detectives from the General Directorate of Investigations carried out various procedures to determine what had happened, while the results of the autopsy were awaited to establish if the veterinarian was murdered before being burned in the truck.

Eduardo Ashwort was a veterinarian and had retired as head of the Rural Extension Agency of INTA Concarán, where he carried out a large part of his professional work.
