Civil Protection (PC) officials and Caracas Firefighters found the body of an 11-year-old boy who had been reported missing following falling into a ravine, whose riverbed increased due to the rains.
The information was provided by the Vice Minister for Risk Management, Carlos Pérez Ampueda, who confirmed the finding of the missing infant since September 11.
The body was found in the La Arenza sector, where forensic studies confirmed the identity of the victim.
Firefighters and Civil Protection officials have been searching for the minor since the day of his disappearance.
According to the rescue group, the bed of the ravine in which the child is presumed to have fallen had grown that Sunday, September 11, the date of the event, when the city recorded approximately two hours of intense rainfall.
