A 12-year-old boy was found gagged, handcuffed and beaten last Friday, in the morning hours, inside an inactive surveillance checkpoint of a building on Mohedano Avenue, Chacao municipality, Caracas.

The journalist Román Camacho detailed in Twitter that people passing through the area heard cries for help and when they approached they saw the minor.

Polichacao commissions moved to the site, rescued the child and took him to Salud Chacao to be treated.

The victim said that Thursday night, a man in a white truck approached him at the Service Station located on the main avenue of Mariperez, Libertador municipality of Caracas, and offered him food.

The boy got into the vehicle and the subject began to touch him, but he resisted and was hit in the jaw, losing consciousness.

«When he wakes up he finds himself in the security checkpoint in pain, handcuffed and gagged. So far the identity of the aggressor is unknown, it is only known that he was dark-skinned, between 30 and 40 years old and that he was driving a white van, “added Camacho.

The victim lost his mother and was abandoned by his father when he was a baby, so he is homeless. He said that he survives by begging for money and prostitution. The child is under the care of the council for the protection of children and adolescents.
