They find 223 migrants, including a Dominican, crowded into a house in Puebla, Mexico

The National Institute of Migration of Mexico (INM) has reported the discovery of 223 irregular migrants overcrowded in a house in the La Gran Tenochtitlan neighborhood of the city of Puebla.

Among the migrants there are 108 from Guatemala, 33 from El Salvador, 32 from Nicaragua, 21 from Honduras, 15 from Cuba, 13 from Ecuador and one from the Dominican Republic. In total there are 136 men, 41 women and 46 minors.

The INM, the National Guard (GN), the State Police and the Municipal Police have participated in the operation to help the migrants. The device was activated when the Municipal Police warned that neighbors they had seen the migrants get out of a truck to enter the house.

Upon arrival, INM and State Police personnel noticed that people running from a house asking for help were fleeing from a house. a room in which they were without light or ventilation.

Three people have been arrested and made available to the State Attorney General’s Office and a truck, a van and the building itself where the migrants were hidden have been seized.
