They filter audio of the moments before the helicopter crash in CDMX

MEXICO CITY.- Audios of the alleged last communication between the pilot of the helicopter that fell in the Coyoacán mayor’s office and the control tower Mexico City International Airport moments before the accident.

According to the information disseminated in social networksthe communication would have occurred at 5:05 p.m., approximately 10 minutes before the aircraft crashed on Avenida del Imán and Avenida Aztecas.

The account that spread the audios, @ondacortaindicated that at 5:19 p.m. the control tower tried to contact again Armando Cervanteswho was piloting the crashed helicopter, without response.

“Colleagues are asking about an emergency in the vicinity of Ciudad Universitaria,” the controllers questioned when they were unable to contact the pilot.

At 5:48 p.m., an air traffic controller asked another pilot, identified as N524F, if he saw any aircraft that had crashed or made an emergency landing in the city.

The pilot responded that he had in sight the remains of a Bell 206B helicopter but I couldn’t see the license plate.

Helicopter crashes in Coyoacán, CDMX

On the afternoon of this Sunday, April 14, a helicopter crashed on Aztecas Avenue and Imán Avenue, in the Coyoacán mayor’s office From Mexico City.

It was a Bell Model 206B helicopter operated by the company Let’s Fly in which a foreign couple was traveling in addition to the pilot, a Mexican citizen.

The pilot and two passengers lost their lives in the accident.
