A Ukrainian official revealed that the forces of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, an ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin, killed three Russian soldiers who did not want to fight in the Ukraine war, according to the “Insider” website.
A number of Russian soldiers rioted over non-payment of promised salaries in the Bulohi region of Zaporizhia, in southeastern Ukraine, according to an official statement attributed to the regional military spokesman, Ivan Arviev.
go home
Arviev said, on Wednesday, that Ukrainian intelligence found that the soldiers in question were “ready to hand over their weapons and go home, but Kadyrov’s forces killed three Russian soldiers.”
Insider pointed out that the incident was not verified, and he did not immediately receive a response to inquiries from the Russian embassy in London and the Chechen parliament.
“Lower morale”
Arviv’s statement follows a series of reports that a number of Russian soldiers are suffering from “low morale” and are reluctant to implement Putin’s military objectives in Ukraine.
Some of these reports are from Ukrainian officials, amplified as part of Ukraine’s war propaganda, and not all have been independently verified, according to Insider.
