Ricardo “N”, municipal president of Río Blanco, Veracruz (2022-2025), was arrested over the weekend, accused of the alleged crimes of illegal carrying of a firearm and crimes once morest health.
The mayor for Morena was arrested in the Nuevo San José neighborhood, in front of the Universidad del Golfo, in the municipality of Córdoba, when he was traveling in a gray Mazda C3 truck with Veracruz state plates.
After a search of the vehicle, the police seized a long weapon, a short weapon, chargers, cartridges, four tactical vests and radio communication equipment.
After his arrest, he was placed at the disposal of the Office of the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR), at the sub-headquarters of Córdoba, Veracruz, where he remains until now.
Through a statement, the Veracruz Secretary of Public Security also reported that on Calle 37 in the Ampliación Miraflores neighborhood, Luis Rogelio “N” was arrested with a firearm, charger, useful cartridges and nine doses of glass.
For this reason, both people and the insured material were made available to the corresponding authorities for legal procedures and were classified as high-profile generators of violence in the Córdoba area.
Meanwhile, in the municipality of Río Blanco, the trustee Janeth Paola del Valle might be the mayoress that replaces Ricardo “N” while his legal situation is defined.
