They denounce that they tied two children to a column at the Mona recital in the Obelisk

The Mona Jimenez flooded the Obelisk of Buenos Aires with a Cordovan quartet in a recital gratuitous. But in addition to the massive call, the news was different: a journalist broadcast a video on networks where two children might be seen tied to a lighting column as part of that recital. The situation generated intense debate on the networks, where the irresponsibility of the parents was pointed out, but also the inaction of the rest of the public who saw the situation and did not act.

The National Ministry of Culture held a free tribute this weekend to celebrate the 55 years of career of Carlos “La Mona” Jiménez, maximum reference of the Cordovan quartet. According to estimates by the organizers, some 125 thousand people sang and danced some of their catchy hits while the temperature in the City of Buenos Aires was below 10 degrees.

“The little ones were on their feet during the 80 minutes that the recital lasted”he wrote in his account Instagram the journalist Juani Fernández, who uploaded the video of the boys, was outraged.

“Excuse me, didn’t it ever occur to you to do something regarding it!? Everyone watching that and no one doing anything? I can’t understand it,” a follower of the journalist responded to the post on Instagram, as well as other messages that repudiated the attitude of the adults responsible for the two minors.

Oblivious to this situation, La Mona confessed to her fans: “I am very excited. The last time I was at the Obelisco was when my dear friend Julio Bocca said goodbye to the stage and invited me to sing a beautiful tango. Today the City invited me to sing, to fill the hearts and soul of Buenos Aires with a quartet. I love them! Thank you for this tribute, dear City of Buenos Aires!”, said the vocalist.

“Se fue”, “La agujita de oro”, “Laura”, “Kills me”, “Who has drunk all the wine”, “Only with you” and “Kiss by kiss”, were part of the repertoire that the Cordovan sang while reading the posters and flags with the origins of the people who attended the outdoor show.

“Happiness for all, we go with tranquility to the houses. I am drinking water, health for all”, La Mona said goodbye following 7:30 p.m. and when she was already wearing a gold jacket.
