Since the Mexibus is a safe, efficient, clean and environmentally friendly transportation system, the Governor of the State of Mexico, Alfredo del Mazo Maza, put into operation the expansion of Line III. This new section begins at the Central de Abastos, in Chicoloapan, until it reaches Acuitlapilco, in Chimalhuacán.
With its operation, this public transport service will increase its passenger capacity, who will be able to travel safer and in less time, since it represents a saving of 40 minutes on the route from Chicoloapan to Pantitlán in Mexico City, covering 23 kilometers in length .
This type of project, commented the Mexican president, allows to continue improving connectivity in the Metropolitan Zone of the Valley of Mexico, and he emphasized the importance of both the Mexibus Mass Transportation System, as well as the Mexicable, since both transport more than 530 thousand users per day, in this region with a high population density.
“We have Rosa Units here, which are special units for women to travel safely on this Mexibus route and it is something very important. With this, we continue to grow what transportation is, what connectivity is so that many families, who use public transportation every day, can do so in a shorter time, at a lower cost, and in a safer way,” she said.
At the same time, he clarified that the public transport network of the Mexibús and the Mexicable del Estado moves 530 thousand users daily, also reducing their transfer times.
On the other hand, he announced that the cost of the ticket on this line will be free for the next two weeks, so that families can begin to learn regarding it and take advantage of it during Holy Week.
