Federal judge Sebastián Ramos decided to declare void the case investigating the trip shared by federal judges, opposition political officials and media businessmen to Joe Lewis’ mansion in Lago Escondido.
As a result of the decision, defendants such as federal judge Julián Ercolini and Cassation chambermaid Carlos Mahíques were dismissed. The same with the former Minister of Security of Buenos Aires, Marcelo D’Alessandro.
The trip had become public following the leak of some supposed chats that the former Buenos Aires Minister of Security shared with the rest of the trip participants, where they were precisely exchanging regarding how to avoid the dissemination of the tour in the south. A note published in the press motivated an initial criminal complaint by lawyer Marcelo Hertzriken Velasco before the Federal Justice of Bariloche, but then the case ended up being filed in Comodoro Py.
