Leading All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company Sergey Brilev for the first time commented on his absence from the frame in recent months. As writes “MK in Volgograd”the TV presenter gave a lecture to students of Volgograd State University and explained what happened to him.
Brilev stopped broadcasting the news shortly after the start of the special operation in Ukraine. Then there were rumors that he, like a number of colleagues on TV, quit and left the country. Brilev dismissal refutednow explained the absence in front of the camera.
According to the presenter, recently he was on a business trip in Latin America, and also underwent a serious operation. He did not say what illness befell him, but made it clear that the illness was serious.
“They cut me thoroughly, in fact, they cut out the entire nasopharynx,” Brilev said.
According to him, the doctors forbade him to fly, but he still went to Volgograd, where he urged the audience at the lecture not to tell his doctors about it.
Before the public, the TV presenter appeared in a new image – with a beard. He admitted that he started growing a beard because of the treatment and intends to get rid of facial hair when the final recovery comes.
