They coordinate security for the transportation of merchandise by MSMEs on the roads

Asuncion, IP Agency.- The Minister of Industry and Commerce, Javier Giménez, together with the Vice Minister of MSMEs, Gustavo Giménez, discussed with authorities from the Ministry of the Interior, the National Police and the Paraguayan Chamber of Electronic Commerce, a series of security measures aimed at strengthening the logistics transport of electronic commerce on national routes.

It was during a meeting attended by the Deputy Minister of the Interior, Óscar Pereira, the Commander of the National Police, Carlos Humberto Benítez, and the head of Capace, Andrés Veirano.

The Vice Minister of MSMEs, Gustavo Giménez, commented that during the meeting the importance of guaranteeing security in the transportation of packages was highlighted, of which more than 60% come from local MSMEs.

He said that the representative of Capace informed the Minister of Industry and Commerce about the actions that will be implemented to ensure that companies that provide logistics services can operate safely and effectively.

In response, the Ministry of Industry and Trade took the initiative to collaborate with the Ministry of the Interior and the National Police, with the aim of providing comprehensive coverage on national routes and ensuring the safe and constant transit of electronic goods.

He also noted that joint actions are already underway, with a particular focus on domestic trade and package delivery on domestic routes. The collaboration between the ministries and the National Police is intended to provide companies with confidence that their logistics operations will be protected.

With these measures, it is expected that e-commerce in Paraguay will continue to grow, offering MSMEs the opportunity to expand their businesses with the assurance that their products will arrive at their destination without setbacks.
