“They continue on their way on foot”

Bad surprise this Thursday morning for people who have to go to Charleroi airport. Since 6 a.m., the police unions have set up filter barriers disrupting access to the site. It is in front of the airport access roundregarding that pickets have been installed, at the level of the service station.

This filtering dam allows cars to pass in dribs and drabs. “We will distribute leaflets to make motorists aware of the underfunding and lack of personnel in the police and customs services,” warned Patrick François, CGSP delegate to the police. As our colleagues from RTL report, many passengers therefore stop here and continue on foot to the terminal.

Charleroi airport invites its passengers to take a reserve margin by arriving at the terminal at least 3 hours before their flight.

The police action is expected to end around 1 p.m.
