On the morning of this Wednesday, the death of the businessman Michel Arnau, recognized in the country for its campaign I love Medellín, which became a city anthem that has endured for years.
The former peace commissioner and former mayor in charge of Medellín Juan Camilo Restrepo He expressed that Michel Arnau “today can rest in peace because we will carry this beautiful message in our souls.”
For his part, the singer Lucas Arnau, son of the publicist, published a message on his Twitter account confirming the death.
So far, the causes of Arnau’s death, who stood out in Medellín and the country for being a renowned publicist, are not known.
In 2015, the organization of the El Dorado Festival of Colombian Creativity awarded him the Homenaje a Vida y Obra award. The entity valued him as “a recognized businessman in Colombian and Latin American .”
Before entering the world of agencies, Arnau was dedicated to filming in 16 mm. He was a cameraman, producer and director of documentaries and some TV shows.
He made more than 200 spots, works that won India Catalina awards on several occasions. He was the father of singer Lucas Arnau and Andrea, a digital marketing professional.
