44 professionals graduated from their residences at the General Hospital “Dr. Agustín O’Horán”, academic cycle 2019-2023, in the specialties of internal medicine, general surgery, anesthesiology, gynecology and obstetrics, pediatrics and surgical emergencies, as well as critical subspecialties and neonatology.

During the delivery of certificates, in the “Benito Juárez” Auditorium of the Faculty of Medicine of the Autonomous University of Yucatán (UADY), the director of the hospital, Marco Antonio Cetina Cámara, explained that these processes last, on average, four and two years, and explained that the students come from various public and private institutions, including Campeche, Oaxaca and Chiapas.

For her part, on behalf of the head of the Ministry of Health (SSY), Mauricio Sauri Vivas, the head of the Education Department, Beatriz Navedo Ávila, pointed out that this is one of the most difficult challenges faced by a student in the field, since it implies economic, personal and family sacrifices, but they are driven by the desire to train and serve the population.

He added that the agency and the Government of Mauricio Vila Dosal will always wish them a successful integration into their new professional life, for which they must exercise the fundamental values ​​of their discipline, such as the vocation of service, ethics and integrity; In addition, he reminded them that they will have to help their future colleagues when they have to go through this stage.
