They closed the La Candelaria elevated for maintenance

• The work will last nine days and will end on October 11

The Ministry of Transportation reported that the total closure of the La Candelaria elevated, in the Libertador municipality (Caracas), was carried out due to maintenance work on the structure.

The measure applies from 12:00 pm on October 2 to October 11, according to a publication by the organization on its Instagram account.

The Ministry recommended that citizens take precautions during the time the elevated station remains closed.

Alternative routes

In Caracas there are several alternative routes that drivers can use while the La Candelaria elevated is closed.

Some of the alternative roads are Libertador Avenue, which connects to the east with the center of the capital, as well as Urdaneta or Baralt.

Alternate routes in the area:

-Libertator Avenue.

-Avenida Urdaneta-Cota Mil (Avenida Boyacá).

-Baralt Avenue-Andrés Bello Avenue.

Other recent closures

On September 25, the Ministry of Transportation reported on the closure of the Maripérez elevated station in the El Recreo parish for repairs. In that case, the passage to Chacao was disabled.

Previously, the authorities announced the disabling of kilometer 4 of the Central Regional Highway, towards Caracas, from September 24 to 25, for grading work on the road artery.

On September 19, the Maripérez elevated crossing, in the central-chacao direction, was also closed for rehabilitation of the structure. While on September 17 They carried out work on the Los Ruices elevatedSucre municipality.
