Under the crime of animal abuse, a 35-year-old man was captured for allegedly causing the death of more than 30 dogs.
The event occurred in the city of Maracaibo, Zulia state, where the subject was arrested following making his criminal actions known.
The apprehended had more than 30 canines under his care, which he had received from different temporary homes that housed these pets.
After receiving the animals, the citizen proceeded to sacrifice them or chose to leave them abandoned in some lonely place in Maracaibo.
Officials of the Investigative, Scientific, Penal and Forensic Corps (Cicpc), upon learning of these actions through a complaint, captured the subject in the Tierra Negra sector, Olegario Villalobos parish.
The defendant was placed under the order of the First Court of Control of the Judicial District of Zulia state, specified the director of the Cicpc, Douglas Rico.
In previous days, the Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, had requested his arrest.
