They carry out a walk in Toluca to make visible people with autism Toluca, Mex – With the aim of make people with autism visiblerelatives, children and adults, in addition to specialists in the care of this population sector, took walks through various points of Toluca.

In an interview, Luis Felipe Aguilar Ramírez, coordinator of the Mexican Institute for the care of people with autism, pointed out that it is a condition that is present in everyday life, because contrary to what is thought, people who present it they are functional, “They might even have bumped into one of them on the street.”

He pointed out that making people in this sector visible is crucial, because in some cases it is possible that any person on the street meets someone with this condition that does not always make people dysfunctional.

“Autism can have many characteristics, from those who have repetition of words, phrases, sentences, movements and above all it is emphasized in the inability to socialize,” he said.

He added that this Institute currently cares for regarding 50 children and young people, between the ages of three and 18, who are followed up, since in most cases they can be integrated into education and daily life.

Relatives of people with this condition and some of their teachers toured the streets of the first square of Toluca with the aim of pointing out the importance of knowing the scope of autism.
