The PDI arrested the second of those allegedly involved in the crimes of homicide and triple robbery with violence that occurred in recent days in Alameda, where stabbings were the common factor. It is a 15-year-old adolescent, who joins the first detainee, 21 years old, both of Venezuelan nationality.
The Investigative Police (PDI) announced the capture during the early hours of this Saturday of a second suspect in the recent stabbings that occurred in the Alameda, in Santiago.
It’s regarding a 15 year old teenagerof Venezuelan nationality, who would be the partner in crime of the first detainee, captured during the night of this Friday, 21 years old and also a Venezuelan citizen who entered our country irregularly and through an unauthorized passage.
Thus, according to the PDI, both would be the authors in the crimes of robbery with homicide and four robberies with violence, events that occurred on July 26 and 28 in Alameda.
Homicide and assaults in the Alameda
The homicide was recorded on the night of Tuesday, July 26, when a 56-year-old man was found dying around midnight by drivers who were traveling in the sector.
One of them called Radio Bío Bío to warn that the man was dying in the street and that despite calling the emergency services he was not attended to, in addition to denouncing that they notified the Carabineros and that they did not respond to the calls.
After a few minutes, and in the middle of the transmission of Radiograma Nocturno, the passer-by who called the Radio reported the death of the victim on public roads while waiting for medical attention.
Meanwhile, the three robberies for which he was also arrested occurred between the night of Wednesday the 27th and the early hours of Thursday the 28th, when the suspects would have attacked the three victims in different sectors of the Alameda.
According to police information, the first event occurred in the Alameda at the height of the Santa Lucía hill, where a person was approached and stabbed.
Minutes later, almost on the corner of Portugal and in front of the Catholic University, a pedestrian was approached under the same modus operandi, where he ended up stabbed.
Finally, a third person was injured with a sharp weapon on the front of the main house of the University of Chile.
Both detainees will be made available to justice and will go to detention control this Saturday. The Prosecutor’s Office will request the most burdensome precautionary measures, that is, preventive detention for the adult and provisional internment for the minor.
