After the search by the security forces in the Barrancas sector, in Barinas, the Delegation’s Coordination of Investigations of Crimes Against People found one of the most wanted in that state.
The arrest of JA Pacheco León also made it possible to dismantle the group of criminals known in the area as La Banda.
The officials managed to find “El Pachanga”, nickname of León, who was the leader of the organization that was dedicated to vehicle theft and other criminal actions.
The “Pachanga” was requested for charges such as murder and directly related to other serious judicial processes.
Amid the actions of the Investigative, Scientific, Penal and Criminalistics Corps (Cicpc), F. Banderela, nicknamed Cabaca, JD Lucena Araujo, nicknamed Homero, and YJ Hernández Márquez, nicknamed Cursio, were also taken into custody. The three are under investigation for contract killings, homicide, conspiracy and serious injuries.
In addition, the Cicpc pointed out that there is a file for attempted homicide, an event that occurred in the Cruz Blanca farmhouse last December 2021.
The detainees will be prosecuted by the Public Ministry (MP) of the state of Barinas.
