Five officials were caught red-handed when they stole strategic material in Pequiven, according to Domingo Hernández Lárez, Operational Strategic Commander of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (Ceofanb).
The event was recorded in Carabobo, where the subjects were apprehended after verifying the crime of theft.
The quintet was identified while they were chopping pipeline pipes to sell them as scrap.
The detainees belong to a police agency, since Hernández Lárez specified that they were assigned to the Morón police station.
“These acts of vandalism harm the basic services of an entire town,” the Ceofanb commander said on Twitter.
