The National Drug Control Directorate (DNCD) reported this Saturday the arrest of a man who was wanted by the authorities for his involvement in the seizure of two shipments of cocaine and a rifle in the province of Barahona.
As detailed by the entity in a statement, in a joint operation carried out by narcotics agents and members of the Public Ministry, he was arrested in the National District Juan Carlos Feliz Ferreras.
“The detainee is designated as one of the ringleaders of the network from which 121 packages of cocaine were seized, on a boat on the coast of La Ciénaga, Barahona province, on November 11, 2020,” the document dictated. .
Feliz Ferreras is also linked to the seizure of another 168 packets of cocaine and an AR-15 rifle, caliber 5.56, seized in an operation in the same southern city on November 6 of last year.
The prisoner is already in the hands of the Public Ministry of Barahona and In the next few days, a coercive measure will be known.
