A five-year-old minor was caught participating in acts of violence during a demonstration that took place this Wednesday followingnoon in Alameda con Estado, Santiago commune.
The boy was captured by Carabineros security cameras, in whose records the infant is seen running with a blunt object in one of his hands while hooded men set up a barricade.
From the police institution they indicated that the minor had also thrown stones and participated in “general disorders”.
Through camera monitoringthe minor’s mother was identified, and the corresponding process for violation of the child’s rights will be adopted. It was an ex officio procedure, which was reported to the judge on duty of the 3rd Family Court of Santiago. The complaint remained waiting for a summons from the Prosecutor’s Office.
The demonstration began at near Plaza Baquedano, where those who protested moved from the Alameda to the west, which also caused traffic diversions and that Metro preventively closed the Universidad Católica station.
