Al-Marsad Newspaper: A video clip documented acts of sabotage, road blocking and looting of a person’s house in Aswan Governorate, southern Egypt. The people accused him of seizing their money on the pretext of operating it, and they called him a “car restroom”, to be the fourth suspect in seizing the money of dozens of Egyptians.
According to “Sky News”, the security services in Aswan received reports of the people of the village of Al-Shurafa gathering in front of the house of the person named Taher Al-Hassawi, and a car showroom owned by him. Also in front of a livestock farm, a number of them set fire to this property, while others ransacked and stole its contents.
The police managed to control the situation and disperse the crowd, and arrested a number of them on charges of vandalism and blocking a road. While the accused of seizing the money is still a fugitive and has not been arrested so far, and the money he seized has not been counted, but according to the trader, he has seized more than 300 million pounds.
The police had received reports from dozens of gathered earlier, accusing Al-Hassawi of seizing their money, claiming that it was used in the car trade for a profit multiplied by 3 times every 15 days, and he also seized the livestock of many people in the same way.
It is worth noting that the reports monitored by the police accuse more than 10 swindlers in Aswan of seizing people’s money in the same way.
