In a piece of video, the moment in which an alleged criminal was run over in a crowded gasoline station in Mexico City was recorded. It all happened on Wednesday, July 6, while the driver of a truck was waiting to fill his vehicle with fuel, the accused approached to steal a watch.
With the help of one more subject, the alleged criminal arrived at the station in the San Ángel area, then went to the truck and intimidated the driver, the vehicle door opened and there was a cross between the thief and the one who was assaulted.
The authorities and local media shared the audiovisual fragment that was recorded thanks to the security cameras of the place, so it is possible to observe that the man threatened the driver, who tried to protect himself; he throws an object at the assailant and, although he moves away, he tries to return to continue stealing, without expecting that, out of nowhere, the driver of a small car, who was waiting to fill up with gasoline, will pick up momentum and run him over.
Consequently, following the crash, the criminal manages to get up from the ground and tries to run away. Nevertheless, the police of Mexico City took charge of the case.
Some time following the assault took place, the Secretary of Security of that city, Omar García Harfuch, reported that the arrest of two subjects who are accused of theft of high denomination watches in the market, mainly in the San Angel area.
According to reports, a firearm was seized from the men and, indeed, the stolen items were found. In fact, they say they are also linked to the assault on diners at a restaurant in the Jardines del Pedregal neighborhood.
Preliminary findings indicate that Armando, 49, and Miguel Ángel, 19, were accused of robbery of the motorist who was carrying gasoline and had taken his Rolex watch, valued at regarding 14,000 dollars (more than 60 million Colombian pesos). ).
