The artist Farouk El-Fishawy was born in Menoufia Governorate, Egypt in 1949. After his high school studies, he went to the Faculty of Arts at Ain Shams University, but his love for art made him obtain a Bachelor’s degree from the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts following obtaining a Bachelor of Arts.

The two partners were able to marry following a strong love story, and their marriage resulted in two sons, but they separated following many years, and Sumaya finally revealed that the main reason for their separation was repeated betrayal, and she said: “I knew that Farouk was cheating on me because he is weak in front of women, and I did not talk to him regarding this.” It was for fear of his anger, because I loved him very much, but in the end I reached a stage that made the continuation of our marriage impossible, and we took the decision to divorce, but our friendship still continues, as he did not leave me in my health crisis.”
It is strange that the great star Farouk al-Fishawy had admitted his repeated betrayal of Sumaya Al-Alfi during their marriage years, but this did not prevent their friendship following the divorce, to the extent that Sumaya Al-Alfi seizes any television appearance to talk regarding her ex-husband with respect and appreciation, stressing that she has not met a man like him. Sumaya and Farouk’s friendship became stronger following the latter announced that he had cancer, as he confirmed that Sumaya was one of his strongest supporters in this ordeal.
Al-Fishawi’s confessions also included confirming the betrayal of all his wives, because of his “eyes of detachment and his love for the harem sex,” he said.
