During his participation in the “Secret Ink” program on the Cairo and Al-Nas satellite channel, presented by the media, Asma Ibrahim, the Lebanese artist Ragheb Alama made statements that sparked a lot of controversy following being asked regarding his opinion on the capabilities of the artist, his compatriot Haifa Wehbe, the free Egyptian businessman Ahmed Abu Hashmieh.
The Lebanese artist confirmed in his statements that “Haifa is not a singer, but a show artist. She has charisma and smartness, and she is imminent in her clothes, but a singer is no, a showman, yes.”
Alama added, during his participation, that Haifa Wehbe cannot sing directly, “Live.”
The singer continued, concluding his statements, which came in terms that some considered shocking: “I wish Haifa Wehbe would be an actress rather than a singer, because she knows how to deal with the camera when she acts.”
The audience reacted angrily, stressing that it is shameful for the artist to underestimate the artist’s value, especially since she is his colleague in the middle.
