The star Karim Abdel Aziz spoke in an old interview with the journalist Mahmoud Saad that he does not compete with any of his colleagues, and the success of his fellow artists does not cause him a crisis.
Karim Abdel Aziz said that he refuses to put himself in competition with Ahmed El-Sakka, and does not change his success; And that he always strives to choose good work that will succeed both technically and publicly.
Karim Abdel Aziz continued: “I am an actor who focuses on myself, but I can’t help but feel a sense of competition with my colleagues.”
He explained, “There is a difference between me competing, and there remains jealousy, that I am making a sweet movie, and I consider this a beautiful jealousy.”
He added, “When I see a sweet movie without a lot, I feel that I want to make a nice movie, me too, but I never focused on the competition and all my focus is on my work.”
Karim stated that focusing on the competition can cause him to fail, and that he must be attentive to his choice at all times to maintain his level.
He continued his speech, saying: “The cinema is not big, and it is possible for a new person to come up and cover me and Ahmed El-Sakka, and I must be attentive all the time in choosing a good work, adding:” I think that I must make films with regret following 20 years that I made them and always focus on choosing.”
