Carabineros arrested the former candidate for conventional constituent this Friday night Millarai Abelleirafollowing she was caught -through security cameras- delivering tires for the barricades that were installed in Plaza Baquedano.
Abelleira arrived in the center of Santiago aboard a vehicle from where you can see with another woman taking tires out of the trunk that they gave to those who were protesting at the scene.
“Carabineros de Chile detained two adult women, who were traveling in a vehicle that stopped in Plaza Baquedano in order to deliver two tires to a third subject, male and adult, which was used for the placement of barricades in the sector of Plaza Baquedano, specifically at the intersection of Vicuña Mackenna with Providencia”, reported the commissioner of the 19th Police Station of Providencia, the Major Miguel Alvarez Karachon.
Police confirmed that the three people were arrested and all of them will go to detention control this Saturday.
Millarai Abelleira, a surgeon, applied to the Constitutional Convention for the Approval List with a Socialist Party quota. The professional applied for District 9, which includes the communes of Cerro Navia, Conchalí, Huechuraba, Independencia, Lo Prado, Quinta Normal, Recoleta and Renca.
Abelleira achieved 5,740, which was not enough to be elected.
