Five officials from the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigation Corps (Cicpc) and another from the Bolivarian National Police (PNB) were arrested for being involved in the theft of a motorcycle, which was traded among them.

According to the report, it happened in Barquisimeto, Lara state. A 28-year-old man filed a complaint about the theft he suffered from his two-wheeled vehicle, Bera brand, model BR150 of the year 2023, black, on Sunday, December 25.

After investigative work, it was determined that two subjects, still to be learned, were the ones who committed the crime. Once the fact is completed, they inform two of the Cicpc detectives.

These, in turn, ask a colleague if it already appears as stolen in the Siipol, when they tell him no, they sell it to an aspiring scientific police officer for $320, the official version indicates.

He finds out where the motorcycle came from and proceeds to sell it to a young man who was studying to be a GNP for $400. The vehicle was found at the latter’s house.

Once the modus operandi was known, all the uniformed officers were apprehended by the Western Redip and reported the case to the Public Ministry.

They are still looking for the perpetrators of the act. One of them already presents records in the Siipol.
