The CDMX Prosecutor’s Office announced the arrest of Iván ‘N’, boyfriend of Carolina Islas who was reported missing on January 27 and whose remains were found in Morelos.
The authorities reported that the man was arrested in Querétaro for his probable participation in the disappearance and femicide of the 29-year-old girl.
Ivan ‘N’ He was hiding in that state where he arrived following what happened at the end of January when Carolina was last seen.
His body was found in February in the municipality of Huitzilac, Morelos. The first investigations detail that her boyfriend returned to CDMX and was in Iztapalapa where he maintained contact with a relative.

The last thing that was known regarding Carolina Islas was that she was going to a bar with her boyfriend Iván ‘N’ in the center of CDMX.

The case of Carolina Islas became known because her relatives blocked the Mexico-Cuernavaca highway for more than eight hours on the first long weekend of the year, to demand the search and appearance alive of the mother of three children.
After finding of the young woman’s body, on February 28 it was confirmed that the cause of death was mechanical asphyxia, that is, strangulation, according to the results of the autopsy.
It was her relatives who identified the young woman’s body by her clothes and some tattoos; however, due to her advanced state of decomposition, it was necessary to carry out DNA studies to have a full identification.
