They arrest “el Danielito” and two teenagers for theft in Caicara

Commissioner Douglas Rico reported that the subjects entered homes and businesses late at night, and seized valuable items to later sell them.

A 26-year-old adult, known by the alias “el Danielito”, was arrested along with two adolescents aged 15 and 17, for alleged theft in homes and businesses in Caicara del Orinoco.

The director of the Scientific, Criminal and Forensic Investigation Corps (Cicpc), Douglas Rico, reported in his official account Instagram that the three subjects were arrested in the Chaguaramal sector of the parish section Capital Cedeño, municipality General Manuel Cedeño.

In the face of various reports made by the victims and in the course of the investigations, the agents were able to fully identify the alleged perpetrators, and it was thus that officials of the Caicara del Orinoco Municipal Delegation – attached to the Cicpc – managed to arrest the “trio of criminals that had whipped residents and merchants of the San Rafael sector”, according to what Rico outlined in the report he issued this Thursday.

They studied routines

It was also revealed that the “modus operandi” of the man nicknamed “El Danielito” and of the two adolescents, was to monitor and study the opening and closing hours of the shops in the area; analyze and record the routines of the owners of the homes they selected to “detect where they might enter” and commit thefts.

Commissioner Rico explained that the criminal group operated late at night, and seized valuables, pretending to sell them following stealing them.
