They arrest a man who robbed a teenager in an elevator

He tried to sell the cell phones through the marketplace, according to Douglas Rico.

A subject who was captured on a security camera while robbing a 12-year-old teenager in an elevator was arrested by officials of the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigation Corps (Cicpc).

The robbery occurred in a building in Minas de Baruta in Miranda state. In the audiovisual it can be seen how the man subdues and hits the girl to take away several of her belongings.

The uniformed men “took charge of the work of identification and subsequent capture of the criminal,” reported Douglas Rico, direct of the Cicpc on his social networks.

The 31-year-old individual took “two cell phones from the victim under death threats, using a punch,” he added. Apparently he tried to sell them through Facebook Marketplace.

He was arrested in the Libertador municipality and upon being verified in the Police Investigation and Information System (Siipol), he presented records for fraud and usurpation of functions.

Rico added that due to the dissemination of the images, he had changed his physical appearance in order to evade the authorities.

It was left to the order of the Public Ministry of the Metropolitan Area of ​​Caracas.
