MEXICO.- The Secretary of Security, Omar García Harfuchreported this Thursday that They arrested a subject identified as Zhi Dong “N”of Chinese nationality, who would be related to the drug trafficking and money laundering.
Zhi Dong Zhang has a arrest warrant for drug trafficking and money launderingissued by Atlanta authorities, Georgiain the United States.
“With this arrest, millions of doses of drugs and financial resources for criminal structures are prevented from reaching the streets,” added Omar García Harfuch.
The citizen of Chinese origin is accused of being allegedly responsible for the export, transportation and distribution of more than a thousand kilograms of cocaine. In addition, 1,800 kg. of fentanyl and more than 600 kg. of methamphetamines. Likewise, it is known that he has illicitly operated more than 150 million dollars annually in drug profits.

The detainee used several pseudonyms such as: “Li Gong Sun Chang”, “Ku Li Hernandez”, “Summor Ownor”, “Brother Wang”, “BW”, “Pancho” and “Hehe”.
The arrest occurred as a result of a coordinated operation between the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), the Secretary of the Navy (Semar), the Secretary of National Defense (Sedena) and the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic (FGR).
After his capture, Zhi Dong Zhang was placed at the disposal of the corresponding authority in Mexico City to define his legal situation in accordance with the international extradition procedure.
