The mayor of Medellín, Federico Gutiérrez, expressed his deep dismay and pain over the case of the 3-year-old boy who was brutally beaten by his stepfather in the municipality of Itagüí.
“How sad, what great pain,” said Mayor Gutiérrez. The case occurred in Itagüí and has shocked the entire region. The child, victim of this terrible attack, is being treated at the León XIII Clinic.
Mayor Gutiérrez reported that he has spoken with Diego, the mayor of Itagüí, who is personally leading the search for the aggressor. “I have offered all our collaboration and our capabilities to find his location,” said the mayor of Medellín.
Both the Medellín Police and the National Police, as well as the Attorney General’s Office, are working together to capture the person responsible for this act of violence.
The aggressor, who has been nicknamed Yanca and the child’s stepfather, brutally beat the minor because he wet the bed. The child is admitted to the León XIII Clinic.
“We are at the forefront of this aberrant case of abuse and violence once morest our children,” said Mayor Gutiérrez. “This scoundrel must pay,” he added.
