The case of the “old-timer thief” from Sinaloa, Mexico, recently went viral on social media. This is a woman who is dedicated to scamming elderly people, using tricks to deprive them of their money in social benefits.
It was during the month of April when local media began to talk about the misdeeds of this woman, who was denounced by several grandparents.
According to El Mañana’s report, this criminal carries out robberies ranging from 12,000 to 30,000 pesos. There was even a reported robbery of up to 100,000 pesos against a couple in Mazatlán; she robbed them of their life savings.

Those affected said that the scammer is of robust appearance, short, with a complexion between light brown and white.
Her modus operandi is to pose as a welfare worker and visit seniors at home, while also promising them more government assistance.
He also took advantage of the situation to steal other valuables from the homes.
Robberies by old people in Mexico
Her latest victim, Don Rafael, 85, who lives in Escuinapa, said that the woman asked him for some important documents to receive a weekly food supply. She also asked him to use the bathroom.
After leaving the bathroom, he asked for some copies of the papers and for a moment to go to his car and gather some information about the process.

Unfortunately for Don Rafa, this was the moment of escape, because upon entering his house, he noticed that his money, jewelry and his wife’s purse with 700 pesos had been stolen.
Regarding this case, the governor of Sinaloa, Rubén Rocha Moya, declared that he has no knowledge of it; but he promised to address the situation.
It was learned that the criminal was arrested for an administrative offense on July 22. She was identified as the person responsible for the robberies, but after filing an injunction, she was released. At the moment her whereabouts are unknown and she is being sought in different states of Mexico.
