Assumption, IP.- A meeting was held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to evaluate the progress of the project to provide drinking water to rural and indigenous communities with resources from the Fund for the Structural Convergence of Mercosur (Focem).
The project is called “Construction and improvement of drinking water and basic sanitation systems in small rural and indigenous communities in the country” and was presented by Paraguay to Mercosur.
During the meeting, the institutions involved in the project exchanged comments on the monitoring tasks and the level of execution of said works, which seek to contribute to the health of the population and improve their living conditions through access to health services. drinking water and basic sanitation in various rural and indigenous communities of the Eastern region and part of the Western region.
The meeting was chaired by the Vice Minister of Economic Relations and Integration of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Rigoberto Gauto, and representatives of the National Environmental Sanitation Service (Senasa) and members of the National Technical Unit Focem of the Ministry of Finance participated. The vice minister was accompanied by the general director of Economic Policy, Juan Ángel Delgadillo.
