They agree to optimize migration processes for the Paracel industrial megaproject

Asunción, IP Agency.- The National Directorate of Migration signed a cooperation agreement with the Paracel company with the aim of optimizing migration processes within the framework of the industrial megaproject.

The signing took place at the Migrations headquarters, in an event chaired by the national director of the institution, Jorge Kronawetter. Present for Paracel were the director of Communication and Social Sustainability of Paracel, Latifi Chelala, and the financial director, Marcos Kosman.

The alliance aims to establish the conditions of cooperation between the parties for the development of projects and activities that are necessary to improve and streamline the immigration processes and procedures of foreign citizens who, due to their participation in the venture, must settle in the country.

These processes will cover both Paracel workers and employees and collaborators, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers who are linked to the project.

About the mega project

Paracel SA is a Paraguayan company with capital from national and international financial institutions, dedicated to building and operating a world-class eucalyptus pulp mill, becoming the largest private undertaking in the country, with an estimated budget of USD 4,000 million and will generate hundreds of jobs.

Within the framework of this large-scale project, the company is preparing to install, develop and commercially operate a pulp factory in the Department of Concepción, to be supplied with reforested wood from plantations on its own land and that of third parties. This project is expected to contribute to the local development of the city of Concepción, as well as the socioeconomic development of the region, in the construction and operation stages of its pulp mill.

The National Directorate of Migration, following the guidelines of the Government of Paraguay, expresses through this agreement its willingness to collaborate with the industrial sector that aims to promote the development of investments in the country, for the benefit of the national economy and the population. which will be directly benefited by the generation of jobs.
