Thessaly: Six-month extension of the suspension of auctions for those affected by natural disasters – 2024-07-10 17:59:34

For an additional six months, the suspension of enforcement actions on movable or immovable property for natural persons and businesses affected by the heavy rains, floods and landslides of September 2023 in the Region of Thessaly is extendedby decision of the Minister of National Economy and Finance, Kostis Hatzidakis.

With this decision the suspension of auctions, seizures, removals and personal reservations, as well as the deadlines for exercising remedies, continues until September 4, 2024 and aids related to pending enforcement proceedings on the movable or immovable property of natural and legal persons, excluding claims for alimony defined by a previous decision (Government Gazette B’ 6444/10.11.2023).

It is noted that before the modification of the decision, the suspension was valid until March 4, 2024.

Beneficiaries of suspension are businesses that are certified as affected by a certificate from the Region of Thessaly and are part of the state aid to affected businesses, as well as natural persons, who are certified to have suffered damage to their homes, in the context of their inclusion in the housing assistance scheme and household goods compensation.

Particularly, the extension concerns businesses and natural persons affected by the heavy rains, floods and landslides:

of 4, 5 and 6 September 2023 in areas of the Larissa Regional Unit of the Region of Thessaly and in the Municipalities of Farsala, Tempo, Kilelere and Agia, which were declared in a state of civil protection emergency due to flood phenomena,

of the 4th and 5th of September 2023 in areas of the Regional Unit of Magnesia and Sporades of the Region of Thessaly, as well as in the other areas of the Regional Unit of Magnesia and Sporades which were declared in a state of civil protection emergency due to flood phenomena,

of the 4th and 5th of September 2023 in areas of the Karditsa Regional Unit of the Thessaly Region, and in the remaining areas of the Karditsa Regional Unit which were declared in a state of civil protection emergency due to flood phenomena,

of the 4th and 5th of September 2023 in areas of the Trikala Regional Unit of the Region of Thessaly, as well as in the other areas of the Trikala Regional Unit which were declared in a state of civil protection emergency due to flood phenomena.
