Thessaloniki: Work on the Flyover is starting again 2024-04-25 06:30:04

As described on thestival.gr by the lawyer of the Association of Residents of the Constantinople Neighborhood, Alexis Adamidis, the decision was communicated to the residents at noon today.

It is noted that the request for the suspension of the works was filed by the Association of Residents of the Constantinople Settlement, the Sheikh Sou Protection Association and the Thessaloniki Runners Association.

According to what the Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Nikos Tachiaos, stated to GRTimes.gr, immediately following the announcement of the decision, the construction work of the Flyover in Thessaloniki will start once more tomorrow, Thursday (25/4).

“Indeed, the Council of State did not accept the request to suspend the work and tomorrow, Thursday, the machines are being put forward, so that the work can continue. Also, on May 22, the discussion on the request to cancel the Flyover will be held at the CoE” said Mr. Tachiaos.

It should be noted that for the resumption of work, the Ministry of Environment must notify the decision of the Council of Ministers to the Ministry of Infrastructure and then to the consortium building the project.

Finally, in the next period, an assembly of the residents of the area will be convened to “see” their next steps.
