With the wound in his left eye visible, the 45-year-old music teacher is still trying to overcome the shock of his beating on the eve of August 15th, in a floating bar in Thessaloniki, where he had been a patron during a short visit to the city.
A young man who had appeared earlier as an employee of the bar, as reported by the victim, had set up a cartridge on the deck at the time of disembarking and started hitting him in the face. That person, according to the complainant, had earlier intervened in a loud conversation the victim was having with the waiter about an order.
“I had asked for nuts twice. Along with the nuts, the bully came to ask me to speak,” the victim told MEGA.
Later, according to the victim, the young man blocked his door when he got off and punched him.
Covered in blood, the victim was found surrounded, as he reports, by members of the bar’s staff while the assailant continued to threaten him and was preparing to attack him again when he saw him take out his mobile phone and was about to call the police.
The 45-year-old rushed to a hospital in Thessaloniki where he was treated for the injury he suffered from the punch and then filed a lawsuit with the competent department of the Coast Guard.
When the next day, however, he appeared next to the port guards who took it upon themselves to investigate the incident at the floating bar, everyone declared ignorance, as if nothing had happened.
