These will be the points affected by carrier blockades in CDMX this Thursday

Las authorities from Mexico City made known the points in which blockades are planned to be carried out by members of the Broad Force of Carriers (FAT) this Thursday June 2.

According to local authorities, there will be six points that will present blockades in the country’s capital.

  1. In the zone of Green Indians-Martin Carrera where Insurgentes Norte, Avenida Cuautepec, Calzada Ticomán and Eje 5 Norte will be affected. As road alternatives are Vía Morelos, Centenario and Vallejo.
  2. In Aragon Avenida 608 and Avenida Oceanía will be affected. As road alternatives, Río de los Remedios, Eduardo Molina, Loreto Fabela and Avenida Gran Canal are marked.
  3. Constitution of 1917, Periférico and Avenida Tláhuac, as well as Eje 8 Sur will be affected. The road alternatives are Eje 3 Oriente, Canal de Chalco and Benito Juárez.
  4. In Xochimilco-Taxqueña Calzada de Tlalpan, Canal de Miramontes and División del Norte will be affected. Central Axis, Axis 1, 2 and 3 Oriente, Avenida Acueducto, Guadalupe I. Ramírez and Escuela Naval will be the alternatives.
  5. In the East, Zaragoza will be affected. As road alternatives, Axis 8 South, Axis 5 and 6 South, Axis 4 South, Vía Tapo, Pantitlán and Axis 1 North may be used.
  6. Tacubaya- Observatory It will affect Periférico, Minas de Arena and Río Tacubaya. The road alternatives will be Revolution, Patriotism, Camino Real Toluca and Parque Lira.

In the case of Paseo de la Reforma Constituyentes and Río San Joaquín are offered as an alternative road.

The blockades will be carried out, “in the face of the silence of the government officials headed by Claudia Sheinbaum” for their demand for increase 3 pesos the minimum fee of public transportation in the capital.

The FAT condemned that they should charge 5 pesos per person when mobilizing a user in the government transport networks, such as the RTP, cost 13.59 pesos in 2020.

The carriers accuse the capital authorities of exercising economic, political and social violence once morest public passenger transport concessionaires.

They demand an increase of 3 pesos in the service rate, since they have been increasing one peso for 9 years.

They indicated that they have lowest rate, since in the State of Mexico the minimum ticket is 12 pesos; in Saltillo 13 pesos and in Mexicali 14 pesos.

Faced with the demand of the carriers, the head of government, Claudia Sheinbaumhas indicated that it would represent “a very strong impact” on the economy of users.
