The Spanish manufacturer Berria Bikes has drawn a new range of very high-end electric mountain bikes, whose prices vary between 6,500 and 10,800 euros.
Across the Pyrenees, Berria Bikes is a manufacturer known for its design of road, gravel and mountain bikes. The Iberian firm is positioning itself this time on the niche of electric bikeswith a new range of VTTAE called Mako Hybrid GT, relays Bike Rumor. In total, four versions of the model are presented on the official website.
This quartet shares a few technical elements in common: they all opt for a 2.6 kg carbon frame, as well as a Polini E-P3+ MX mid-engine with an impressive 90 Nm of torque. brand new motor from Bosch cut for trendy mountain bikes, the Performance Line CX Race Limited Edition and its torque of 85 Nm.

The four iterations are also entitled to five configurable assistance modes from a control located on the handlebars, a three-inch LCD screen and a Vittoria Martello front tire, against an Aggaro tire at the rear. The wheels meanwhile reach a size of 29 inches.

On each product sheet, Berria Bikes mentions a 720 Wh battery, without specifying the estimated theoretical autonomy. Even if on paper, this ability should provide an interesting radius of action. Note also that the weight of each model has been ignored. We imagine that it greatly exceeds 20 kilos for the whole range.
Several differences nevertheless set them apart from each other, particularly in terms of the front and rear suspensions, the transmission and the brakes. Below is a small bulleted list of their respective features:

- Electronic drivetrain: SRAM XXI Eagle AXS 12-speed
- Brakes: SRAM Level G2 Ultimate four-piston hydraulic disc
Here, the electronic transmission of the GT Limitent brings several advantages: it is considered to be quieter, faster and more precise, but also more expensive, heavier and dependent on a battery that must be recharged before an outing.
