Music, dance and theater. There is a lot going on culturally in Karlsruhe. A popular venue is the Badisches Staatstheater, which opened in 1808 and today offers opera, ballet, concerts, drama, as well as the Young State Theater and the People’s Theater, which were founded in 2011. In recent years, there have also been some well-known actors and actresses as guests.

Anne Müller is known from productions such as “Babylon Berlin” and numerous radio plays. Since last season she has been part of the ensemble at the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe and has impressed audiences, including in the solo evening “Ach, diese Lücke, dieser entschreckliche Lücke”.

Corinna Harfouch is one of Germany’s outstanding actresses and was seen several times as a guest at the Badisches Staatstheater KarlsruheMost recently, she took on a central role in Anna Bergmann’s production of “Romeo and Juliet”, in which she played a key role in the video feed.

Bayan Layla: Film star on the theater stage
Bayan Layla has received multiple awards for her leading role in the film “Elaha” and was a permanent ensemble member at the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe from 2021/22 to 2022/23. Her stage performances are just as powerful and intense as her film roles.

Marie Nasemann: From the catwalk to the theater
Marie Nasemann became known through “Germany’s Next Top Model” and dared to take the step into the theater. For a year she was a member of the ensemble at the Junges Staatstheater Karlsruhe and also showed her talent on stage.

Michel Brandt: Politics and acting in harmony
Michel Brandt, a permanent member of the ensemble at the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe, has not only made a name for himself on stage, but also in politics. As a member of the German Bundestag for the Left Party, he expressed his convictions for several years before once again pursuing his passion for acting.
