these headphones with noise reduction fall to less than 70 €

The Soundcore Life Q30 headphones from Anker are a very good alternative to the other much more expensive active noise reduction models that exist on the market. At the moment, Amazon offers it at 69.99 euros instead of 89.99 euros.

The market for headphones with active noise reduction is mainly dominated by major players such as Bose, Apple and Sony. But the models that these brands offer are sometimes really expensive. Fortunately, it is now possible to find some accessible references, and which have many other arguments to make. The Soundcore Life Q30 noise-canceling Bluetooth headphones, which received a good score of 8/10 in our test, are a good example of this. And this one is currently even more interesting since its price drops by 20 euros.

What to remember regarding the Soundcore Life Q30 headphones

A plastic design, but comfortable

The Soundcore Life Q30 headphones from Anker are first and foremost a circum-aural model, a format that encompasses the whole ear, unlike those that simply rest on the auditory pavilion (supra-aural). As a reminder, this design ensures better passive insulation, an essential condition for obtaining effective active noise reduction. If these Soundcore Life Q30 headphones are rather bulky, they remain comfortable on the skull. The pads that line the ear cups are also not rigid, which will maximize comfort over time. Only downside in this design: the omnipresence of plastic, which is felt even in listening since it makes the sound a little unsightly when you move a little too much.

Regarding its use, Anker has integrated an NFC chip into this Bluetooth headset, which will facilitate pairing. All you have to do is bring the smartphone to the right headset to connect it. Be aware that it will be possible to use the headphones in wired mode, since a cable is supplied with the headphones. Otherwise, to control the beast, keys dedicated to sound adjustment will be present, and will also allow you to pause or play and change songs. If during the first uses, you might have trouble finding the buttons on the first try, you will get used to them very quickly as you go along.

More than convincing active noise reduction

One of the main advantages of the Q30 is still the presence of active noise reduction, a technology that is rather rare to find on such inexpensive headphones. The model will therefore use microphones to capture and analyze the surrounding sounds to then restore a phase inversion: concretely, the helmet will offer a sound opposite to that captured outside, which will simply allow it to cancel it. This active noise reduction can be set on the Soundcore application, on which you can find three main modes: noise reduction, transparency mode (which allows you to hear outside sounds very clearly, without removing the headphones from your ears ) or normal mode. If this Q30 cannot naturally ensure the same quality as that offered by Sony or Bose, it will still defend itself very well and will effectively filter outside noise. Three different filters will also be present to adapt to all situations: transport, interior and exterior.

Regarding the sound quality of this Soundcore Life Q30, which has two 40 mm diameter transducers, we will be entitled to a rather balanced and warm result, with however an emphasis on the mids. Note however that it will not be compatible with aptX and LDAC, but compatibility with AAC and SBC codecs will be included.

Significant autonomy

Finally, the Soundcore Life Q30 promises great endurance. During our test, the headphones were able to operate for 45 hours and 30 consecutive minutes, with noise cancellation, while the brand announces 40 hours of autonomy with active noise reduction and up to 60 hours without, and this, thanks to the on-board 420 mAh battery. For charging, the Soundcore Life Q30 comes with a USB-A to USB-C cable, while the headphones themselves include a USB-C plug. For a full charge, count a little less than 2 hours.
