During the 2022 San Diego Comic Con, a group of fans recreated the Cluckin’ Bell restaurant chainpresent in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas y Grand Theft Auto V, that turned out to be successful, that is why the creators sought to repeat and make biggest event for 2023… but unfortunately Take-Two Interactive forced them to close the restaurant.
For its 2023 edition they were looking to surpass what was done in their first appearance, as it would start a week before the San Diego Comic-Con Burger Shot themedanother restaurant that appears in the saga, so that the following week they gave way to the recreation of Cluckin’ Bell.
Through a video Published on the Instagram account of those in charge of the place, the news and the reason for the cancellation of the event were reported:
“We received a letter from cease and desist from the law firm representing Take-Two Interactive. In response, we have been forced to scrap the Burger Shot event that was planned for this weekend.”
in the same video, The managers of the place affirmed that they continue working on the project with the difference that food will not be sold in the restaurant, since will become a “parody” installation called Don’t Cluckin’ Tell. Still, the guys apologized for all the fans who expected to live the experience like in the game.
