Forbes Magazine published its list of the richest people on the planet in 2022, in which the founder of Tesla, Elon Musk, appears in the first place.
With a net worth of US$219,000 million, Musk went to the head of this ranking unseating Jeff Bezos (founder of Amazon), who dropped to second place with an estimated fortune of $171 billion.
And who appears in Colombia? According to Forbes, Luis Carlos Sarmiento Angulo, David Vélez and Jaime Gilinski Bacal are the biggest tycoons in the country.
The magazine estimates Sarmiento Angulo’s fortune at US$9.9 billion, making him the richest person in Colombia and 201st worldwide.
For his part, the Antioquia David Velezfounder of Nubank, appears second nationally and 386th in the world with assets of almost US$6.5 billion.
In turn, Jaime Gilinski Bacal, who has made waves in recent months due to the offers that his conglomerate made for Sura and Nutresa, is third in Colombia and 687th on the planet, with US$4.2 billion.
Additionally, Beatriz Dávila from Santo Domingo appears on the list, who has US$3,500 million that helps her to be in box 851 in the world.
