The Venezuelan Ministry of Tourism created four quality tourism seals based on high standards that guarantee and recognize the quality of a destination.
This was announced through the Instagram account of Minister of Tourism Ali Padrón.
Highlighting the publication of this past June, these seals are in Organizational Management and Work Performance; Environmental Management; Customer Service Management; and Management for Tourist Tours.
According to the minister, these seals comply with international standards that allow spaces with quality management to be identified.
According to the Ministry of Tourism’s website, Tourism Quality Seal: It is a badge issued by the highest administrative authority for tourism activity in the country (MINTUR).
This guarantees and recognizes a destination, product, structure, process, service or person that has achieved a high level of compliance with the requirements and thematic elements established in the good practice manuals, according to its typology.

Tourist stamps: Certification process
Likewise, the Certification process in terms of Tourism Quality consists of four (4) phases:
- Request and receipt of documents: Applicants for certification submit the relevant documents to the governing body.
- On-site verification: The technical team of the General Directorate of Tourism Quality will carry out the on-site verification to verify compliance with the provisions of the good practice manuals, for providers of tourist services and other administrative figures of tourist products and destinations, aspiring to opt for a certification.
- Certification Assessment: The technical team of the General Directorate of Tourism Quality will proceed to tabulate and analyze the competencies related to compliance with the Good Practice Manuals.
- Evaluation results: It will allow the level of commitment to good practices to be made known in order to obtain the corresponding seal or badge of tourist quality. According to the following:
- Weighting of 95% or more: Obtaining the seal of approval for tourism quality.
- Weighting from 50% to 94%: Implementation of Improvements.
- Weighting from 01 to 49%: Closing of the certification process.
