These are the jobs that qualify the most

Until March 2025, the Arraigo Project, which brings Cuban families to Spain, has been extended, at least in the province of Burgos, according to local media. Therefore, it is important to know which jobs best qualify for these repopulations in rural towns.

Three new families, two from Cuba and one from Argentina, recently settled in Quintanar de la Sierra thanks to the collaboration between Burgos Repuebla and the Arraigo project, thus joining the 77 people who have already integrated into the province.

The BURGOS REPUEBLA, TERRITORIO SMART project, managed by SODEBUR and financed by the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, aims to repopulate rural areas through the creation of an innovative ecosystem of sustainable development.

This project not only offers new services to citizens, but mainly promotes the creation of new jobs in the rural environment, facilitates the adaptation of new inhabitants, improves the quality of life, encourages entrepreneurship and attracts talent to the province. .

With complementary financial support from the Junta de Castilla y León, SODEBUR has been working since the beginning of the year with the Arraigo Project to select and accompany families residing in urban areas who wish to change their lifestyle, facilitating their settlement in rural municipalities of the province of Burgos.

What jobs are most coveted by the Rooting in Spain Project?

Regarding the trades that most qualify in the Arraigo Project, according to the case of these new families, 18 jobs have been filled in the province, distributed in the following sectors: industry (27.78%), work in nursing homes the elderly (27.78%), hospitality (16.67%), home work (16.67%), cleaning (5.56%) and forest management (5.56%).

In addition, two people are dedicated to teleworking and three cases of entrepreneurship have been registered, which have generated employment for six people: a hostel in Castrojeriz and two bars, one in San Pedro Samuel and another in Cuzcurrita de Juarros.

Apart from the employment generated directly, to carry out support services for the new settlers, there are currently eight technicians in the territory (all women), who act as a link between the new families and the host municipalities.

It is expected that more families will continue to arrive in the coming months, since, thanks to additional financing from the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, the service will be extended for seven more months, until March 2025, they said.
