Recently, the firm CIRP published a report on new iPhone buyers coming from Android, which is interesting. Lately the figure has remained between 13 and 15 percent in the last two years. The iPhone 14 is the most popular choice of Androids moving to iOS
According to the report, new iPhone users in the US who come from having an Android choose the iPhone 14 or 14 Plus. The percentage is clear, it represents 26% of purchases. Very close by one percentage point less is the iPhone 14 Pro or Pro Max.

Expressing my own experience, in June 2023 I switched to this good side of the coin since Android was starting to annoy me in terms of the operating system. Plus, a good number of friends and family have an iPhone, so the use of AirDrop, Face ID and iMessages become essentialBesides the convergence between the current ecosystem I have (macOS, tvOS and now iOS).
There are other users who have been staying on Android for more years and highlight similar advantages. FaceTime, quick notifications and the purest operating system like this Reddit user are important advantages to highlight. On the other hand, in a more case of an Android to iPhone, they lean towards the design, optimization and even the use of Safari are more than satisfactory experiences.
There are more users switching from Android to iPhone than the other way around
Most of these users who move from Android to iPhone could in the future be like my colleague Ángel Roca who has been using an iPhone as his main device since 2010.
Reiterating my personal case, my last iPhone was a 7 Plus and I kept it for 4 years. The new features that Xiaomi was presenting in 2020 tempted me at the beginning and I had a satisfactory purchase but in terms of performance it only lasted almost 3 years. My demands changed and I decided to go for an iPhone 14 Pro. The Xiaomi now serves as a secondary device, I plan to keep said iPhone for much longer since Both iOS and the way the iPhone works are very different from 2016.
